Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is located on Universal’s City Walk with many other locations around the world, specifically in beach areas. You feel like you stepped inside Jimmy Buffet’s island paradise with the overflowing margarita volcano, island music, and breezy atmosphere. Margaritaville is the perfect restaurant to escape the bustling parks and take a little vacation within your vacation!
For a gluten allergy, Magaritaville offers a gluten free menu with some really great options! Our waitress was very good, and asked if I would like to speak to a chef to order. But, if you are comfortable ordering with your waiter, that is fine too! I ordered with the waitress and everything came out perfectly! Very celiac friendly with no problems at all.
Margaritaville has some really amazing gluten free options! The island inspired menu offers some really delicious, fresh dishes that I find myself craving at home!
There are two appetizer options for gluten free diners! You can choose from gluten free volcano nachos or the “drunken” shrimp skillet. Our family favorite is the volcano nachos as it is the perfect appetizer for sharing! This dish is a mound of tortilla chips, fried in a dedicated fryer, generously topped with cheddar cheese, chili, and topped with pico de gallo, fresh guacamole, sour cream, and jalapenos. When I say that they are generous with these toppings, I kid you not. Nachos are a rarity for celiac diners, so this is a gluten free must!
For my main course, I ordered the blackened fish sandwich on a delicious gluten free bun. I’m not sure what brand the bun is, but it is really really good, soft with a great texture! The sandwich is topped with sliced tomato, cilantro lime coleslaw, and a perfectly spicy jalapeno tartar sauce. The sandwich was served with a mound of perfectly fried French fries. Fries + Jalapeno Tartar Sauce = Heaven
Margaritaville offers an amazing gluten free dessert to top off your meal! A warm gluten free brownie served with heath bar crusted vanilla ice cream, macadamia nuts, and whipped cream. Another rare menu item for a gluten free diner!
Other gluten free options include a grilled chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, steaks, and a variety of salads!
I absolutely love Margaritaville and their delicious, plentiful gluten free options! Every time my family visits Universal, or Orlando in general, Margaritaville is a must do! I am definitely looking forward to the next time I have the opportunity to indulge in those cheesy nachos.
