Located in the newly renamed Disney Springs, Planet Hollywood has been a classic icon of Downtown Disney for years. Once you step foot into the iconic blue globe, you enter a trendy, loud atmosphere. Although you can’t hear much other than the DJ blasting music, the atmosphere is a fun and extremely unique. Explore the different floors and pay attention to the details on the walls to see memorabilia from some of your favorite movies.
Planet Hollywood does not have one of Disney’s recently rolled out gluten free menus. Instead, they still have a chef come to your table to discuss your allergies. From my experiences, they are very friendly and willing to help!
Planet Hollywood has a huge menu with lots of different options for gluten free and gluten loving diners. They offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers. Now… Onto the food!
My family loves to order nachos whenever they are available gluten free! I confirmed with the chef that the chips are fried in a dedicated fryer. He assured me that the fryer fries tortilla chips only. The “Nachos Grande” comes topped with melted cheddar and Monterey jack cheeses, jalapenos, Kobe chili, which has an unexpected sweetness, pico de gallo, olives, guacamole, and finally, sour cream! Delicious and great for sharing!
For my entrée, I chose the chicken fajitas! The chef brings corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas to make the dish gluten free. It comes with all the usual accompaniments: pico de gallo, sour cream, cheddar, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, peppers, onions, and rice! Delicious! My favorite thing about fajitas is that each one can be different. These are also available with shrimp or steak!
Planet Hollywood also has gluten free buns for sandwiches and burgers! Although they do not have a dedicated fryer for their fries, the chef will make some fresh baked steak fries if you’d like! Perfect when you get that unavoidable burger hankering.
Planet Hollywood is a great option for gluten free diners in Disney Springs! I really enjoy their gluten free options. But, if you are looking for a quiet, secluded dinner, try something else! Good fun, great music, and accommodating to gluten free diners!
