Located in the newly renovated Disney Springs, Splitsville Luxury Lanes is the perfect spot to bowl and eat all in the same building! With the fun, retro atmosphere, Splitsville is a unique experience at Disney World as there is no other location for bowling. It is a great place for friends or family to hang out and enjoy some great food, too!
On the menu at Splitsville, gluten free symbols are next to each menu item that can be made gluten free. I ordered with the waiter, but I’m sure a chef would come out to speak to you about your concerns if you request it!
Splitsville offers a good balance of unique menu items and typical concession food for a bowling alley. Bowling alley sushi? Odd, but I went for it, and I sure was glad I did!
The gluten free diners at Splitsville have the option of 3 different sushi. They offer a gluten free Spicy Tuna Roll, “The Alberto” (no rice, a healthier option), and the Fantasy Roll. I chose the Fantasy Roll!
The Fantasy Roll includes fresh salmon, ahi tuna, cucumber, avocado, and steamed shrimp rolled in soy paper and drizzled with spicy kimchee ponzu sauce. The fish tasted so fresh! The ponzu sauce was out of this world and made the perfect complement. Sushi can be bland sometimes, but this was extremely flavorful.
I have never tried anything other than the Fantasy Roll because it is that good! But, other gluten free options include Splitsville’s rice bowls. The fiesta chicken bowl, filet fajita bowl, Asian shrimp bowl, and spicy veggie bowl are all available gluten free. Additionally, Splitsville serves a gluten free pizza crust with your choice of three toppings! But, for celiacs, Splitsville states that the gluten free pizzas are cooked in the same oven as gluten-filled pizza, so the risk for cross-contamination is higher. Two gluten free appetizers are available: edamame and grilled buffalo chicken tenders. You could also order a burger or sandwich wrapped in lettuce.
Finally, if you save enough room for dessert, Splitsville serves a gluten free cupcake! The flavor alternates, but I have seen a gluten free red velvet and a gluten free snickerdoodle flavor! I have never tried it, but it is nice that they have the option.
We love to start our Disney World vacation with some bowling and great gluten free sushi. Splitsville always offers a great time with lots of laughs (mostly at my awful bowling and excessive gutter balls) and some surprisingly fresh and unique gluten free options!
Yes. I had to document the worst score in bowling history! 21 points. I wasn't kidding when I said awful bowling.
